Warmer, More Rain Developing | Weather

Hi Folks! Chief meteorologist James Zahara here.
Wow! The warmth is definitely getting our attention this morning as we woke up to temperatures around 50 degrees! The mild surface boundary as shifted temporarily to the south dipping numbers around 40 degrees this midday. We have temporary shut off our recent round of moisture during the day as clouds along with some patches of fog will take over our skies.
By tonight, the same boundary will regress northward allowing winds to become gusty out of the southwest which will easily boost temperatures overnight into the 50s by sunrise tomorrow morning. This could come with a few spotty light rain showers during the overnight hours as well.
More showers..possibly a thunderstorm or two will linger through the day as readings will reach record highs near 60..thats right 60 degrees! Temperatures will plummet that night into Wednesday as strong northwest winds of Arctic air spills into the Midwest. Any leftover moisture may lead to a few light snow showers.
The deep cold flow will linger through the rest of the week with temperatures returning to the upper teens for afternoon highs both Thursday and Friday before returning above freezing for the weekend.
