Warm Start To The Week | Weather
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Good morning, everyone! Chief meteorologist James Zahara here. Bright skies and warmer winds blowing out of the southwest will easily jump temperatures close to 40 degrees by this afternoon. We’ll see temperatures add a degree or two for the rest of the week with the peak warmth arriving Thursday with temperatures in the upper 40s. Later that day is when the next rainfall will be arriving as well.
The main jet aloft will split into two this week. The northern part will keep the arctic cold locked in Canada. The southern part will be responsible for the warmer flow coming out of the southwest. This will be the same flow that will carry a strong wave of moisture out of Mexico through the Southern Great Plains and eventually the Midwest by later Thursday. After a brake from the rain Friday comes another chance developing this weekend. This will undoubtedly lead to not only a transition to seasonally colder air but a major plummet in temperatures through the following week. Check out how cold it will trend by clicking on the 16 day outlook.
Have a great day! :)
