Boil Order follows Bettendorf water-main break | News

City officials say that water has now been restored to the nearly 30 residents who were affected by Thursday’s water main break.

The city also says a boil order is in effect until 12 a.m. Saturday. As previously reported, crews responded to a water main break around 11 a.m. Thursday morning at the intersection of Woodland Lane and Hillside Drive.

Crews are expected to be out working on the intersection Friday. The city has also said it will pay for people’s damages as long as they use certain contractors.

Grant Wood Elementary will not be affected by the break on Friday.  Bettendorf Community Schools are out until Tuesday.
