City of Bettendorf Hires Two Police Officers

BETTENDORF, Iowa--The City of Bettendorf has hired two police officers.Matt Stinocher was sworn in on November 19, 2012. Officer Stinocher did his college internship with Bettendorf in 2005 and graduated from St. Ambrose University in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He served in the military with the U.S. Army as a combat medic beginning in 2007, serving over in the Middle East. He also has worked at the Iowa Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer at Newton from 2009-2011. He is currently in the Iowa National Guard and most recently worked as a Logistics Specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal. Officer Stinocher is currently attending Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, Johnston, Iowa.  He will be assigned to patrol when he returns to the department.

Patrick Mesick was sworn in on December 18, 2012.  Officer Mesick is a graduate of Bettendorf High School and was a Bettendorf police explorer and police intern.  He attends Iowa State and is a semester away from graduating.  Officer Mesick is currently attending Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, Johnston, Iowa.  He will be assigned to patrol when he returns to the department.
